The Constitutional Court of Thailand was dissolved in 2006. In 2007 a similar court was established under the new constitution. The Constitutional Court decides on the constitutionality of the provisions of law and other powers as provided for in the Constitution and other laws.

Supreme Courts (Highest Instance)

The Supreme (Dika) Court is the final court of appeal in all civil and criminal cases in the entire Kingdom. The Court consists of the President, Vice - Presidents, the Secretary and a number of justices. It is divided into divisions with three justices in each division. The President of the Supreme Court is also the head of the Courts of Justice.

Appellate Courts

The appelate courts in Thailand consists of a Court of Appeal and nine other Regional Courts of Appeals. The Court of Appeal hears appeals from the civil and criminal court ; the other regional courts hear appeals from the other lower courts.

First Instance Courts

The courts of first instance in Thailand can be divided into three categories;
- The first instance courts of the Bangkok Metropolitan:
Civil Court , Criminal Court , Southern Bangkok Courts, Thonburi Courts, Juvenile and Family Court, Minbury Provincial court and 7 Distict Courts. (Kwaeng Courts) The Civil and Criminal Courts are courts with higher status; they do not only have original jurisdiction in Bangkok, but can also trial on cases from outside Bangkok. The Kwaeng Courts are the courts for 'quick' trials; jurisdiction of these courts are limited to offences punishable with a maximum of three years imprisonment or a fine not exceeding 60000 bath , and to civil cases where the claims do not exceed 300.000 bath
