The Constitutional Court of the Kyrgyz Republic is the highest instance
for the protection of the Constitution and consists of a Chairman, a Deputy Chairman and Seven judges of the Constitutional Court.

The Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic is the highest body of the judicial power
with civil, criminal, and administrative jurisdiction.
The Supreme Court consists of a chairman, three deputy chairmen and 20 judges.
The Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic elects judges of the Supreme Court
by the introduction of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic for the term of 10 years.

The local courts (district, province and city) act as a courts of the first instance, and hear civil, administrative, economic and criminal cases as according the Kyrgyz procedure law

First Instance Courts
There are 69 first instance courts in the Kyrgyz Republic. The total number of judges in local courts is 388. The number of judges of local courts is established by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with the standards of workload of judges and number of local courts’ staff.
